I didn’t know what I was looking for exactly when I searched “best podcasts.” I had to scroll through a bunch of true crime results, but the confidence of the title - How to Survive the End of the World - called to me. I needed some of that confidence, that reassurance. And, wow, do these sisters deliver. Their intelligence, calm, and poise comes through with every word. After listening to them, a part of me felt heard as well. It was healing to hear people who share my values discuss their struggles and their triumphs, especially in these difficult times.

So grateful for the generous, brave, risky, and loving conversations that the brown sisters cultivate and share with us. Such medicine for these times.

As of this post, the US has just announced the bombing of Iran. The weather inside my body is storming. To ground that energy, I sought out nutritive media. I decided to prioritize this podcast. The content could not be more perfect. Specifically, the episode just after the 2024 election. It’s my first listen but will not be my last. Deeply grateful. Visioning a story and breathing deeply.
